Car question on registration and states.?

Scot Sepulbeda: There is a goodly amount of risk in you allowing your cousin to have temporary possession of your vehicle. If he is added to your insurance coverage policy you are still the person who would be completely responsible and liable for anything that might happen while he is driving your vehicle. Are you prepared to take that responsibility? If so, then yes, he can drive your vehicle in TX as long as TN registration is up to date and the insurance is current.

Cody Petrulis: I am advising you not to do this. I am advising you to place the car in storage. There are special provisions for active duty military as to registration. This does not apply to others. Rather than to ask here I suggest you speak with the Judge Advocate as to legalities. IF anything happens while you are gone YOU are liable, 100% liable. At worse you can be sued for damages past insurance limits and other situations. Not advisable. Your choice.

Kenneth Thuesen: I thought the! US was pulling out of Afghanistan? If he is on the insurance, then all is well.
