answers 0:So long story short a couple weeks ago I was practicing water polo with the guys teem. As you know guys tend to try pretty hard. We were doing something called triangle and you have tO be fast, the guy in front of me wasn't but always kicks his legs hard and gets no results. He ends up kicking me on my left side of the jaw. It made a pop noise and was in a lot of pain, but since I was playing with senior guys as a sophomore girl I brushed it and didn't want to make a big deal. Eventually the pain went away. But days later I started to notice a popping noise every time I ate, talked or did anything involving my jaw. It isn't painful unless I mess with it A LOT, but it always there and I can always hear and feel the cracking and poping noise no mater what I'm doing /: Question is should I go to the hospital? It's been weeks but! I still feel it. I would go to the doctor but it's labor day weekend :/ I NEED to stop this! Also, if I go to my dentist can they fix it? There's nothing wrong with my dental work, but being involved in that area, I suppose they might know something.. Perhaps they can take an xray of my jaw and send it to my doctor? Someone help please. This is really hurting me and bothering me :(...Show moreanswers 1:In my opinion the best thing to do would to get an xray. There may or may not be something wrong but it's best to let a medical professional tell you whats going on. Since it's been weeks since the incident the jaw would have started to heal. Id seek medical attention if i were you.answers 2:if you can move it its probally not broken . ive been kicked in the jaw plenty of times. get a x rayanswers 3:You should go to another doctor to fix your problem. The first doctor obviosuly did not do a proper job if you are still in pain. Aside from that, you should be seeing a psyco! therapist to treat you with medication, or maybe even go to a ! special center to get better. The biggest step is realising you may be suicidal, now you need to find help to stop any action that you may inflict on yourself. By the way, why do you feel it was necessary to describe what race the men who beat you were? It's completely irrellevant....answers 4:if its ben mor than a week, dnt even worry bout it.its tolte to go to the docanswers 5:I have basically had the same thing happen to me too.. freshman year of volleyball i dove for a ball and so did another girl... her knee went in my jaw and it was super painful... it eventually went away, but the popping never did. I don't think you broke it because if you did it would be very painful and you would have known it. but I asked my orthodontist when i went to get my braces checked and he said it was poping because of inflamation in my jaw... due to possible swelling from the trauma. anyways he suggested anti-inflamitories to make the popping go away. It never did. I am now a senior, and ! it still pops constantly. even when I talk. but it doesn't hurt and ive just grown used to it so I ignore it.ANYWAYS like i said I don't think its broken because you would be able to chew and do stuff without severe pain, but i'm no expert so maybe there is a break. or another possibility is maybe you dislocated it and then it went right back in.... thats what i think happened to me. so.... if you think it needs checked, go get it checked. but if your not in alot of pain i wouldn't worry about it so much. hope it gets better! :]...
