Good over-the-summer artistic hobbies?

Timmy Bustard: Yes, I know it's a three in one glue, sealer, and finisher so please don't repeat me. Problem is can I use it as a base? I want to either custom make my shoes using sharpies or acrylic paint? Should I apply it as a base since I don't have any? Or use sharpies and apply the matte?

Bud Espenshade: why not try juggleing. the skill of moveing one or more objects in a circler orbit can be a real challenge. just be careful with the knifes.

Jess Grizzel: thanks!!! :) If not, can you suggest a glue?

Bethanie Menden: Decoden is one of my favorite things to do!!! :D I personally only use a glue gun on soft items like stuffed bears, fabric, etc. If I'm just going to attach rhinestones to something, I simply use glossy varnish. I always cover the rhinestones with varnish afterwards anyway to make sure they stay secured - it also looks nice. But in my experience, varnish makes an excellent glue - and of course, it dries quite clear as long as you d! on't pour the whole bottle on there :DHope this helps

Abby Herwood: My grandma recently found a 1942 WW2 stamp album with eleven stamps in it. We were wondering if it would be worth anything today. How can we find out what the album is worth?

Jackelyn Archut: Whenever Im grounded I used to go on the computer and find pictures then draw them out. This was a lot of fun for me and made time fly by.

Myesha Zerbe: paint nature scenes - photograph them in the summer, and paint from the photos in the winter

Tory Clapper: It depends which stamps are in the album.A stamp dealer could advise you.

Olen Penhallurick: I wouldnt use it as a base. I would wait untill you can run to the store and spring for gesso.

Rosann Mccomb: I would say model building because it is both challenging and fun making something off your own.

Spencer Heidtbrink: i like to take a lot of picture then scrapbook them. if you get into it, it takes up a lot of time. also ! making hemp bracelets is fun.

Hal Rouse: This is when I ! strip furniture, in the fresh open air.Make bird houses and feeders.

Cedric Grimstead: good summer artistic hobbies

Jackson Esmiol: go to the martha stewart web site they did something like that as a craft project and i think this will help you you can use just acrylic pain right on the shoe if it is cloth I did it to a t-shirt washed it alot and it never came off

Spencer Heidtbrink: I can see your more of a 3D material artist but why not try drawing or painting? There are lots of things to choose from to draw and paint and it will help in all aspects of any artistic direction you go. For drawing its really cheap, get a a3 sketchbook for around £5 and pencils are 20-50p each and that should last for a bit. Then study the subject, my subject is faces and figures so ive been studing anatomy like bones and muscles to get a better understanding of my subject. Anyway just a suggestion and good luck with whatever you do :)...Show more

Dominic Sciancalep! ore: Why not learn knitting. It is a very usful craft. Tyrone Disanti: Try decorating inexpensive flip flops, make a beach bag, try sewing--there are so many areas that you can go with this (for example, quilting, hand bag design, clothing design, etc...)Take up beading, there are so many different projects you can do. Wire sculpture, soap making, candle making, etc...

Branden Roddick: juggling is a good one. unicycling if you need more of a challengestilt walking (you can make your own) if you need less of a challengepoi (http://www.homeofpoi.com/shop/listcats.php/0, you can make your own poi, just put a tennis ball each in two old stockings, but the site has many useful links)artistic ones, you can try all the arts. dra! wing, painting (go and sit in the garden and paint what you can see). w! ood carving. Clay modeling/pottery. Weaving, Quilting.Really depends what you like to do. You could learn how to build your own kites and fly them. You can write poetry, learn how to play a musical instrument. If you still look for more things to do, go to hobby section of the library and check the books....Show more

Reginald Maxi: It a square puzzle with different shaped pieces and you can make heaps of pattens and thing like dogs etc with it.Or try Bepuzzled puzzle with no picture some have a mystery attacted to them for you to solve as well.

Gale Hartt: I'm not sure what "decoden" means. Is this a misspelling?Glue guns are usually used for attaching embellishments to paper, cardboard, or decorative fabric items or when decorating things like Christmas ornaments etc.If you meant decoupage...you can use a decoupage glue that's made specifically for that purpose or some elmers school glue watered down a bit so it spreads very thinly and just leaves the paper lo! oking wet (no lumps). I hope this answered your question.
