Christopher Calcano: Go for a degree in zoology, biology, wildlife biology, wildlife conservation..or similar. Different schools will have different majors..so you need to see what best suits your interests. Hands on experience is VERY important in this line of work..you need to get it through volunteer work, internships, etc. Keep in mind..you can work as a filed biologist and spend most of your time in the field..but you WILL have to spend some time in the office...you must analyze all the data you collect in the field and write up reports for your data as well....Show more
Carolynn Testani: Many schools specifically have a Wildlife major. You can also look into Conservation Biology, Biology, Ecology, Zoology, etc. Many of these majors result in positions doing field work/research, so you get to be outside doing what you love! Good luck!
