Josefine Weekey: There are 250,000 web sites devoted to Genealogy. It is the most popular hobby on the Internet for us geezers, who don't chat, download awful music or look at naked women. Which one is best for you depends on you. If you are a Italian Catholic, the one run by the Huguenot Society isn't going to help you much. Free BMD is invaluable for Brits; Americans could care less, unless they have UK Roots. You got some good suggestions. The resolved questions have other links and tips....Show more

After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family ! members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to! know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check....Show more
